Golang Developer

Ivano-Frankivsk | Wroclaw

Vacancy details

About the project:

We are looking for a Golang Developer to join a project building and maintaining the backend of a ticket sales platform for the client in the live events and ticketing space. The client is a UK-founded B2B SaaS company with a presence in the Gulf region, providing white-label, high-scale backend systems. The platform focuses on real-time data synchronization, event-driven architecture, and multi-channel API integrations. The team maintains and evolves the existing codebase and is open to new ideas — there is real opportunity to introduce new approaches and architectural improvements.

Typical Tech Stack:

Back-end: Go (Golang), gRPC, REST, Protobuf, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS SQS/SNS, ENT (ORM).

Frameworks: Standard Library (net/http), Gin, or Fiber (for high-throughput APIs).

Cloud & Tools: AWS (full stack setup — EC2, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, IAM, networking), Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub + CI.

AI Tools: OpenAI API; Claude Code — main AI tool used by developers on this project.

Requirements:

  • Go Core Mastery: 3+ years with Go. Deep knowledge of Goroutines, channels, and memory management (GC tuning, avoiding leaks);
  • Microservices & gRPC: Experience with Service Discovery, Circuit Breakers, and the Saga Pattern for distributed consistency;
  • Data & DB Expertise: Strong SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis). Expert in GORM or raw SQL for high-performance queries; experience with ENT is a plus;
  • Cloud-Native Skills: Strong hands-on AWS expertise — ability to set up and configure AWS infrastructure end-to-end (Lambda, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, IAM, etc.), plus Docker and Kubernetes orchestration;
  • Third-Party Integrations & Data Mapping: Experience integrating external APIs and mapping/transforming data between different systems;
  • English (B2+) & soft skills: strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team;

Nice to have:

  • Full-stack Awareness: Experience with TypeScript/React to better collaborate with front-end teams;
  • AI/ML Integration: Building high-throughput Go wrappers for AI inference or agentic AI systems;
  • Background in ticketing, live events, or other event-driven B2B SaaS platforms;
  • Advanced Patterns: Experience with CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation) or Hexagonal Architecture;
  • Payment Processing: Experience with Stripe or similar payment gateways;

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop highly concurrent, scalable microservices using Go and TypeScript (for full-stack alignment);
  • Optimize existing bottlenecks in the backend by implementing efficient Go concurrency patterns;
  • Maintain high code quality through rigorous unit testing (using go test and testify) and code reviews;
  • Maintain the existing code, refactor it, and build new features. New ideas are welcome, and there is an opportunity to improve the project with new approaches and architectural solutions;
  • Backend development for a ticket sales platform, including integrations with third-party APIs, data mapping between different systems, payment processing with Stripe, and implementing and maintaining backend services;
