Softjourn Story
In 2001 Jeff Kreuser and Emmy Gengler founded Softjourn, Inc. in the Silicon Valley. Emmy, our current CEO, spent more than ten years working in the former Soviet Union, including several years as President and CEO of a systems integration firm in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The company was initially a network of partner companies based in various parts of Ukraine. Each partner concentrated on different areas of expertise, either business applications or technical, in such industries as healthcare and financial services.
By 2005, Emmy and Jeff decided to permanently partner with Bogdan Mykhailovych and Serhiy Fitsak. At the time, both worked at a Ukrainian software company providing banking solutions. That same year, we opened our new headquarters in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, where Bogdan and Serhiy lived.
By 2013, we had 50 in-house programmers, with 77 total staff. In 2014, we opened a branch office in Wroclaw, Poland. As of mid 2019, we’re an established, global technology services provider with more than 200+ employees.
Over the years, we’ve narrowed our focus and deepened our expertise in such industries as ticketing and fintech. We apply proven technologies that elevate operational capabilities for our clients. We also develop, as well as embrace, cutting-edge ideas that are redefining the digital ecosystem, like blockchain. It’s our belief working with different multidisciplinary solutions, while proactively pushing boundaries, is what separates us – and our clients.
