Softjourn Story
In 2001, Emmy Gengler and Jeff Kreuser founded Softjourn in Silicon Valley. Emmy, our current CEO, spent more than ten years working in the former Soviet Union, including several years as President and CEO of a systems integration firm in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The company was initially a network of partner companies based in various parts of Ukraine. Each partner concentrated on different areas of expertise, either business applications or technical, in such industries as healthcare and financial services.
By 2005, Emmy and Jeff decided to partner with Bogdan Mykhailovych and Sergiy Fitsak permanently. At the time, both worked at a Ukrainian software company providing banking solutions. That same year, we opened our new headquarters in Ivano-Frankivsk, where Bogdan and Serhiy lived.
By 2013, we had 50 in-house programmers, with 77 total staff. In 2014, we opened a branch office in Wroclaw, Poland. As of mid-2019, we’re an established, full-cycle consulting and software development company with over 200+ employees.
As of the beginning of 2023, we have surpassed the 300-employee mark.
Over the years, we’ve narrowed our focus and deepened our expertise in such industries as ticketing and fintech. We apply proven technologies that elevate operational capabilities for our clients. We also develop and embrace cutting-edge ideas redefining the digital ecosystem, like blockchain. We believe working with different multidisciplinary solutions while proactively pushing boundaries separates us – and our clients.
