Junior QA Engineer

About the project:

We are looking for part-time (50%+ availability) or full-time (100% availability) contractors to join projects requiring Junior QA Engineers. These projects center on manual and API testing of web and mobile applications across a variety of product domains.

Typical Tech Stack:

UI/UX testing, content validation, usability testing, sanity testing.

Testing & QA: Manual testing, API testing (Postman), SQL, test case design and test documentation, exploratory testing, functional testing.

Tools: Issue tracking (Jira, Azure DevOps), test management tools (Zephyr, X-Ray), Confluence.

AI Usage: experience with AI-assisted testing tools and services.

Exposure to automation testing frameworks (Selenium, Playwright) is a plus.

Collaboration: Agile/Scrum methodology, Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

 

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in web testing;
• Experience with API testing (Postman);
• Experience with SQL;
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes;
• Experience in writing testing documentation;
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude;
• Intermediate level of English.

 

Nice to have:

• Basic scripting & programming knowledge;
• Background in computer science;
• Experience with issue tracking systems (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps);
• Experience with mobile testing;
• Experience with AI tools.

 

Responsibilities:

• UI/UX testing, content validation, usability testing, sanity testing;
• Issue investigation;
• Manual testing;
• API testing;
• Communication with the team/client;
• Log investigation;
• Attending different types of meetings;
• Creating test documentation, requirements clarification and analysis.
