Middle/Middle pro Java Developer

About the project:

The Client is a card transaction processing company that provides services to banks and other state or commercial companies within Ukraine and abroad. The project offers payment solutions: money transfers, POS services, ATM monitoring services, etc.

The system accepts payments by payment cards and e-wallets and provides convenient tools for the development of e-commerce, A2A. Whatever business is: online, offline or on mobile phone, launch an online store, a mobile application, issue an invoice or arrange for subscription services – the platform will help with any task. In addition, the team works on separate services for Merchant control, simplified flows to process the payments, etc.

Additionally, we develop the testing systems for internal usage.

 

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience with commercial projects;
• Experience with PostgreSQL/Oracle, Apache Tomcat, Gradle, Maven;
• Good knowledge of Java 17;
• Good knowledge of ANSI SQL;
• Knowledge of Spring, REST API, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), JPA (Hibernate), HTML / CSS / JavaScript, jQuery;
• Basic knowledge of Unix / Linux;
• Knows how to work with IntelliJ IDEA;
• Knows how to work with Git;
• Ukrainian language knowledge.

 

Nice to have:

• Experience with JPOS;
• Docker, microservices;
• Vue.js experience;
• Banking/Fintech experience;
• English level – B1 or higher.

 

Responsibilities:

• API Development & Maintenance – design, implement, and maintain scalable APIs;
• Database Management – design, optimize, and manage databases for efficiency and reliability;
• Integration with Third-Party Services – connect with external APIs and services as needed;
• Security & Compliance – ensure data protection, secure authentication, and compliance with industry standards;
• Performance Optimization – monitor and optimize application performance and scalability;
• Debugging & Troubleshooting – identify and resolve issues in backend services;
• Code Review & Best Practices – write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews;
• Infrastructure & Deployment – work with DevOps teams to manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments;
• Development of payment services.
