Softjourn Corporate Social Responsibility 2019
Softjourn actively interacts with the western Ukraine city of Ivano-Frankivsk, where our main research and development office is located. We participate in events whose purpose is to contribute to Ukraine's development. Softjourn is supporting the improvement and growth of Ivano-Frankivsk through the "Warm City" initiative, which is described in the section "Community Involvement and Development." We also care deeply about social issues and have been providing support to the Ukrainian Army, both directly and through charity initiatives. Softjourn helped a local hospital pediatric department by installing new IT equipment; this means that the department can join the city's medical network! We are also very active in community competitions, such as IT football cups, marathons and intellectual games. Softjourn also actively participates as attendees and speakers at local IT conferences and events such as dev days. We work to stimulate interest in an IT career among young enthusiasts, thus strengthening Ukraine's reputation as one of the countries with the most IT-savvy professionals. Softjourn is also active in care for the environment, replacing old technology with those that consume less energy. Within our company, we have a specific policy for waste disposal. We encourage the use of company bicycles and recyclable materials. These efforts are also described briefly in the "Environment" section.
